New Initiatives: Green Energy

Kuyasa is a strong believer in the benefits of green energy, not only for it’s environmental advantages but also because it has become a viable alternative to reduce costs. Electricity bills can quickly accumulate especially with the onset of winter, however, by incorporation solar lighting systems and hot water geysers into homes there is a chance to significantly reduce these costs. Furthermore, with access to lighting comes a decreased use of candles and ultimately fires. The lighting systems we promote are modular and can therefore be used inside the home and at the front of the house to illuminate the yard and increase security. The benefits of hot water geysers... who wouldn't want a warm shower?

Presently we have partnered with South African renewable energy companies to vertically integrate their solar products. We have set up lighting system displays in each of our Customer Service Centers to offer clients the chance to see the products and test them. We understand green technology is a new alternative and people need to build trust in the products. Moreover, we sell small solar lanterns and reading lights at a nominal price to encourage rapid adoption of solar products.
